Turning Fundraising Season into Fun!

Another packet comes home from one of your school-aged children offering the packs of wrapping paper, nuts in a tin, and soy candles.  You, your neighbors and friends may purchase your share out of obligation to your child's fundraiser's success, but who said fundraisers have to be all about candy bars, soy candles, and wrapping paper?  Who said another human-powered car wash is the best way to raise funds for a school group?
In reality, any product or service can be turned into a fundraiser successfully, which offers infinite possibilities for your creativity to shine through as a PTO leader or booster club sponsor.  That's where professional guidance to spark your creative fundraising solutions into high gear may be the ultimate solution.
For example, a band booster club in Ohio wanted to raise funds during the 2019-2020 school year for a band trip planned in the spring of 2021.  By creating a custom collectible ornament featuring the school building itself, the band booster was able to have a quick sell-out before the 2020 holidays, raising the money in advance of when they would need it for the trip.
Thousands of non-profit organizations use the Treasured Scenes collectibles annually and for special occasions such as anniversary celebrations.  Each collectible can be sold in specially marked Treasured Scenes packaging that looks stunning and protects the collectible from damage, which is especially important to deliver the goods to your customers after the fundraiser is over.
Fundraising is about creating buying interest in your target audience.  Without genuine interest, the fundraiser will have mediocre results, short-changing the options for your group.  Instead of repeating mistakes of the past, visit our website and request our free fundraising guide for better results and unique ideas for your fundraising future.  Your group depends on you for excellent leadership!

WHY TREASURED SCENES FUNDRAISING?

Keystone Specialties developed a very valuable formula that has worked well for thousands of organizations (since 1982) to estimate the funds they will potentially raise through Treasured Scenes.  As these many organizations used this fund-raising program successfully over the years, the formula was improved as results were shown, and can work just as effectively for your organization.   Also Keystone Specialties has developed many free promotional tools to help ensure every organization reaches its full fundraising potential, including a web-friendly digital promotional package. While Keystone Specialties does not guarantee any organization's fundraising results, as there are too many local factors that we may not be aware of, we provide these FREE promotional support materials to help your organization publicize its Treasured Scenes collectible in the most effective ways possible.  Your organization's fundraising success is our success as well!

Custom Collector Coins as a Fundraiser

Why use custom collector coins as a fundraiser? People enjoy collecting coins as a form of art, and they have become an excellent way of depicting history or commemorating a special event.

Why not create a little history of your own? Here are how some organizations have used coins currently:
  • Chambers of Commerce/ Historical Societies: create a series of coins featuring historical landmarks in the area.
  • Churches: A gift for weddings or baptisms at the church. A great volunteer gift too!
  • Schools can give a coin to the graduating class. Alumnae who donate a certain dollar amount or for their reunions. Or commemorate the closing of an old school and the dedication of the new one.
Custom Collector Coins

Any custom coin series you create will help in your fundraising efforts. To help showcase the coins, two display options are available as well: a single coin holder with easel and a wooden display plaque. This will allow the purchaser of the coins to proudly display them wherever they wish.

Creating a custom glass ball Christmas ornament.

This type of ornament has been around forever and it isn’t going anywhere. One of the most popular styles of custom Christmas ornament is the glass ball and it can be customized any way you see fit.

First there is the 2-5/8” size. This is not the imprint area size, but the actual diameter of the ornament. The imprint area is 1-3/4” x 1-3/4”. The other size available is 3-1/4”. The imprint area on this size is 2” x 2” and allows for more detail on the image to show.

When considering doing these as a series for a fundraiser, it is best to sit down and brainstorm with a couple other people.  This will give you a feel for what others may want to see on an ornament and it takes the pressure off of you as the sole person in charge of the design. A few good examples for a series of ornaments are:
Churches: Doing the stained glass windows in the church. 1 or 2 ornaments a year depending on the number of windows available.
Chambers of commerce: Community events and original businesses from the early town days.
Historical Societies, Museums: Famous people from the community or state.

When it comes down to the design, there are two ways this can be done. First is an artist rendering from a picture. It doesn’t matter how old the picture is. We can work with just about any image. Take a look below!
Once the image is rendered, we will color it according to the amount of imprint colors that were paid for.  It is recommended that at least 2 colors are used for the front imprint as it will allow for a much richer looking image. If a full color image is desired, we can replicate the picture directly on the ornament using a 4 color process. Here is an example:
